This agro climatic district is one of the high-grown tea regions. Tea here is grown in altitudes between 3500ft to 5000ft above sea level in the western slopes of the country. The landscape of the beautiful mountains and valleys extends all the way to the sacred Adams Peak.
The secret behind the flavour of Dimbula's tea is the complex climatic changes the district undergoes. While on one side Dimbula tea estates experience bountiful south western monsoon rains, they are also met with cool dry winds giving rise to dry air during the day and cool winds at nights. The beautiful play of nature even sometimes adds to the flavour a hint of Cypress and even Jasmine.
